Trump dubs himself 'Tariff Man'

President Trump, it seems, has just invented the absolute lamest superhero persona of all time.
In a Twitter thread on Tuesday morning, Trump discussed "ongoing" trade negotiations with China, and hoped a "REAL deal" would be possible. If not, though, he issued a warning: "I am a Tariff Man," he wrote.
Trump said he wants countries who "come in to raid the great wealth of our Nation" to "pay for the privilege of doing so," arguing that tariffs will "always be the best way to max out our economic power."

Whether Trump was intentionally declaring himself Tariff Man as a comic book-style nickname, or whether it just reads that way as a byproduct of his inexplicable proclivity for capitalizing random and words and phrases, is not entirely clear. But after this tweet, perhaps Trump shouldn't be surprised to find himself getting a late-night visit from Nick Fury about joining the Avengers Initiative.
