President Trump asked a 7-year-old on Christmas Eve whether it's about time to stop believing in Santa Claus. "Because at 7, that’s marginal, right?" the president told Collman Lloyd of Lexington, South Carolina.
Trump's Santa-questioning comment was mocked across the board, with politicians and comedians roasting him for breaking the No. 1 rule of Christmas. Meanwhile, veteran journalist Dan Rather noted that, despite having a few years on Lloyd, Trump has a "marginal" belief of his own.
Luckily, Lloyd affirmed Wednesday she still believes in Santa because she wasn't quite sure what "marginal" meant. Whether Trump will start believing in science remains to be seen.
