Kanye West's plan to distance himself from politics sure didn't last long.
West on Tuesday doubled down on his support for President Trump, first simply tweeting, "Trump all day," then adding, "Just so in 2019 you know where I stand." West also said that "they will not program me," later promising to perform wearing his Make America Great Again hat, which he says represents "that people can't tell me what to do because I'm black."
After having previously said he wants to run for president, but only after Trump leaves office, West also tweeted, "2024."

West has expressed his support for Trump repeatedly in the past, even meeting with the president in October in a bizarre encounter during which the rapper went on an extended rant saying his MAGA hat makes him feel like Superman.
Later that month, West said he'd be taking a step back from politics. "My eyes are now wide open and now realize I've been used to spread messages I don't believe in," he tweeted. "I am distancing myself from politics and completely focusing on being creative!!!"
