Check out the completely ridiculous trailer for the Fast & Furious spin-off Hobbs & Shaw

The first trailer for the Fast and the Furious spin-off Hobbs and Shaw is here, and it's just as gloriously ridiculous as one would hope.
The footage released by Universal on Friday leans fully into the action-comedy tone, complete with one-liners, a self-referential joke about a "bad guy speech," and Deckard Shaw killing a man with a bottle of champagne. In case it wasn't clear enough that no one involved is taking things too seriously, it's also all set to "Why Can't We Be Friends?"
Hobbs & Shaw stars Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham as their characters from the Fast and the Furious franchise, who must team up to take down the villainous Brixton, played by Idris Elba. In the latest example of the series somehow topping its own insanity, Brixton appears to have supernatural powers straight out of a Marvel film; he declares in this trailer that he is "bulletproof" and "superhuman," and he's able to easily propel Hobbs into a truck as if he's The Winter Soldier. The series has certainly come a long way from that humble 2001 film about illegal street racing.
