Kamala Harris tweets childhood photo after busing brawl with Biden: 'That little girl was me'

The presidential campaign of Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) was ready to go with a social media strategy after her attack on Vice President Joe Biden's civil rights record during the Democratic debate on Thursday.
Harris during the debate went after Biden for his record on busing, sharing a story from her childhood and saying, "There was a little girl in California who was part of the second class to integrate her public schools, and she was bussed to school every day. And that little girl was me."
Biden defended himself by saying he did not oppose busing but that "what I opposed was busing ordered by the Department of Education."

Moments after what is sure to be the debate's most memorable exchange, Harris' Twitter account tweeted out a photo of herself as a child to fit with her story told moments earlier along with her quote, "that little girl was me."
The Harris campaign posted the same photo on Instagram. This photo is currently Harris' pinned tweet. Brendan Morrow
