Billy Porter just became the first openly gay black man to win the lead drama actor Emmy for his performance on FX's Pose, The Associated Press reports.
This was Porter's first time being nominated for an Emmy, though he previously picked up a Golden Globe nomination for his Pose performance. His competition at Sunday's Emmys including Ozark's Jason Bateman and Game of Thrones' Kit Harington.

Porter is also now just one award away from an EGOT — in addition to his Emmy win, he previously won a Tony for Best Actor in a Musical and a Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album for Kinky Boots. On to the Academy Awards.
