If President Trump turned out to be really, truly awful, Ben Carson has some good news for the country: He's only president for four years!
At least that's what Carson said on The Steve Malzberg Show late Monday evening, when he tried to reassure anyone concerned about the country going down the tubes during a Trump administration. "The way I look at it, even if Donald Trump turns out not to be such a great president — which I don't think is the case, I think he's going to surround himself with really good people — but even if he didn't, we're only looking at four years. [That's] opposed to multiple generations and perhaps the loss of the American dream forever," Carson said, according to The Hill.
Somehow, despite Carson's attempts, this just doesn't seem like it will hearten anyone.
