Hackers attacked Sony Pictures Entertainment's electronic systems earlier this week, and the studio is now investigating whether the culprits may have ties to North Korea, Variety reports.
On Nov. 24, Sony's company computers suddenly showed an image of a skeleton with a message that said, "Hacked by #GOP," which the hackers said stood for "Guardians of Peace." Analysis of the group's text shows that it was encoded in a format that is compatible with Chinese and Korean characters, although experts say hackers often use different formats to throw off authorities.
