In the pink: On-trend peach make-up
This season sees a host of soft fruity shades hitting the shelves. Here’s how to get the most out of the trend, whatever your skin tone
As a bit of soft relief from the bold and electric hues that have dominated make-up trends recently, one of the most fashionable shades for spring/summer 2017 is peach. The shade flatters most skin tones and the natural warmth of the colour lends a youthful glow to everyone who wears it.
Lighter skins look best with a soft peach lip or warm cheek wash. If you're brave enough, try a bold dark-peach eye gloss or shadow, a look that actress Emily Ratajkowski successfully pulled off at January's Golden Globes, as did Michelle Williams and Jessica Biel at the Oscars.
Darker skin is suited to deep coral lips and blush but can also make a light peach lip, fierce orange blush or bold apricot eye really pop. Supermodel Naomi Campbell added a peachy glow to her complexion at the Golden Globes, while actress Naomie Harris opted for a chic understated approach at the Oscars with a sweep of blush-toned eye shadow and soft blush lips.

Here's a round-up of some of the best peach make-up products on the market:
Kylie Cosmetics
Kylie Cosmetics Royal Peach Palette is a good first purchase if you want to try out this trend. Launched in January, the palette features shadow colours ranging from a wearable light dusty peach to vibrant corals and bold terracotta, plus a seemingly out-of-place electric blue that works brilliantly as a contrasting liner or shade. Kardashian clan socialite Kylie Jenner has been spotted looking flawless in peach tones from her eponymous palette, with warm apricot-coral eyes matched with her Apricot or Dirty Peach Lip Kit for a fierce and feminine look. The Royal Peach Palette was so successful that its initial run sold out in minutes, but it's back in stock just in time for spring.

Too Faced
Another fruity palette that beauty addicts are climbing over each other to get hold of is the Sweet Peach Eye Shadow Collection from Too Faced. Its 18 shades vary from a light orange-infused beige, to shimmering red bronzes, juicy peaches and contrasting purples. Match the eyes with one of Too Faced's Creamy Peach Oil Lip Glosses that come in eight complementary shades, from the persimmon-infused Poppin Peach and vibrant, rose-hued Tickle Me Peach, to the sheer pinky frosting of Peach-sicle. Add to the collection with the effortlessly wearable and satisfyingly rich-pigmented Sweet Peach Papa Don't Peach Blush and the three shimmering shades of the Sweet Peach Glow Peach-Infused Highlighting Palette. The sugary sweet packaging, slightly childish names and the fact that the collection is peach-scented may put you off, but it's what you'd expect from a tongue-in-cheek brand such as Too Faced, who can get away with it because the quality of the product speaks for itself.

NYX Cosmetics
NYX Cosmetics is known for being bang on trend, especially when it comes to lipsticks, and has retained its run of excellence with its collection of peachy cosmetics. Its new Cosmic Metals Lip Creams combine the fashion for metallic and peach in intense orange-coral lip shine Solar Energy and the out-of-this-world high-shine rose gold Speed of Light. Match it with an equally bold, shimmering smudge of NYX Prismatic Eye Shadow in Golden Peach or Fireball, and the brand’s striking Ombre Blush, which adds a natural contour and comes in the fashionable coral of Soft Flush and blood orange of Insta Flame.

ColourPop
ColourPop always seems to have the latest colours in the most flattering shades. The brand's new Perfectly Peach set suits all skin tones and comprises a collection of four Peachy Keen eye shadows in a nude caramel, gold, rust and peach in a mixture of metallic and matt finishes. It also includes three Just Peachy liquid lipsticks in a matt nude peach, satin-finish pinky nude coral, and a rich matte terracotta peach.

Nars
For anyone quick enough to get their hands on one, the Nars Banc De Sable Highlighter Palette is one of the easiest ways to wear peach and almost guarantees a radiant, sunny complexion. The limited-edition palette contains three high-shine highlighters for eyes and cheeks and the peachy shades are designed to be worn sheer and subtle or layered and intense.
Nars Banc De Sable Highlighter Palette is not available in the UK yet but is $49 (£40) at sephora.com
Smashbox
This month, Smashbox is launching a new line of sumptuous metallic lipsticks, Be Legendary Liquid Lip. The hottest shades of the 17-lipstick collection will be the peach-tangerine-hued Haterade, rose-gold Petal Metal and fierce coral-copper Moscow Muled.
