Miggo's Pictar One turns your iPhone into a traditional camera
Get a grip on your phone with this handy camera-style accessory
Smartphone makers now fit high-quality cameras into their ultra-thin devices, leading some people to use their mobiles for professional photo and video shoots in preference to purpose-built DSLRs.
But while phone cameras have become more complex, the devices themselves are getting thinner and lighter. In some conditions, it can be tricky to get the right grip on your phone to help you get the best picture.
That's where the tech accessory company Miggo comes in, as its Pictar One phone grip allows iPhone users to turn their mobile into a traditional point-and-shoot camera.

The device is aimed at helping you "capture less blurry photos by cutting down on hand shakiness", says Wired. It's a simple "clip-on case" that has a lightweight design, which should make it easier to hold with one hand.
Pictar One also comes with a "pretty slick" app, the website says. The device can only be used with the companion software, but it "improves upon Apple's weak-sauce iOS Camera app."
While Miggo's accessory doesn't turn your iPhone into a "high resolution DSLR", says Digital Trends, it does give the iPhone camera "a boost when it comes to usability, mimicking that of a mirrorless camera."
Its "biggest perk" is the addition of three physical dials, the site says. These allow users to adjust shooting modes and zoom controls without needing to access the phone's settings menu.
As a final touch, Digital Trends says you can add a "wrist and neck strap" to give the accessory an authentic feel.
Miggo's Pictar One can be ordered on Amazon for £99.99 and can be fitted on the iPhone 4S and above.
