2. Cadrim Clothes Steamer
This 1,500-watt, 1.1kg steamer heats up in just 20 seconds, and has a brush head and a lint remover too. It has a large 280ml water tank, which makes it bigger than most and best for home use, but it can last for more than 20 minutes using the trigger, or about ten minutes in continuous mode.
3. Steamery Cirrus 3 Iron Steamer
Scandi brand Steamery has a range of pricey but good-quality products designed to help clothes last longer. Simple to use, with just two buttons, this heats up in 30 seconds. The 90ml water tank fits into the bottom of the ergonomic handle, and it weighs 860g.

4. Russell Hobbs 28370 Steam Genie
Super-powerful at 1,700 watts, this works as both a steamer and an iron. It heats up quickly and produces lots of steam, but the water tank holds just 150ml. It weighs 1.21kg, with most of the weight at the top, which makes it a bit heavy on the wrist.
5. Beldray Handheld Garment Steamer
This 600-watt, cheap and cheerful budget option is simple to use, and takes around a minute to heat up – you can see when it is ready as the water in the 100ml tank starts to bubble. It produces a continuous stream of steam for about seven minutes, and at 620g is easily portable.
