Bolton saved
While the inquest into Bury’s expulsion from the English Football League (EFL) continues, there’s good news for fans of crisis club Bolton Wanderers.
The League One side’s future has been secured after it was confirmed they have been taken over by Football Ventures (Whites) Limited.
“Bolton saved” Metro reports, while The Sun says the “Trotters still trading”.

Game of two halves
With its headline “the rich get richer, the poor get poorer”, the Daily Mirror looks at the two contrasting faces of the football industry.
On the rich side, Manchester United striker Alexis Sanchez is set to join Inter Milan on loan and the Premier League club will pay £8m in wages just to get rid of the Chilean flop.
Meanwhile on the poor side, Gillingham chairman Paul Scally warns that Bury’s demise is just the tip of the iceberg for football’s financial issues. Bury could be the start of a major crisis engulfing Football League clubs.
