First Lionel Messi and now Zinedine Zidane – David Beckham wants the biggest names in world football to join his Major League Soccer (MLS) side Inter Miami.
When asked about the possibility of Messi moving to Miami, club owner Beckham said: “Who knows maybe we can see him here in a few years’ time. We want to create the biggest club in the USA and so that means attracting some of the biggest players.”

‘Preliminary talks’
If Inter Miami want to sign the best players in the world ahead of their 2020 launch they will need a big name to manage them. Yesterday the Daily Mirror claimed that ex-Real Madrid head coach Zidane had held “preliminary talks” with Beckham about the Miami project.
After winning a third Champions League title in a row in May, Zidane quit Real Madrid. He has been unemployed since then.
There has been speculation he’s the favourite to replace Jose Mourinho at Manchester United but the Mirror says Beckham is aiming to pull off a “managerial coup” while the Frenchman remains out of work.
