Neymar transfer to Real Madrid this summer is ‘impossible’ says Ronaldo
PSG and Brazil striker has been linked with a move back to Spain’s La Liga
The chances of Neymar leaving Paris Saint-Germain for Real Madrid this summer are “impossible” - but it could happen in a few years’ time.
That’s the view of Ronaldo - not current Real star Cristiano - but the former Brazil striker who was speaking on the El Larguero radio show in Spain.
Neymar signed for PSG for a world-record £200m fee from Barcelona last year but it’s reported that Real are keen on bringing the 26-year-old Brazilian back to La Liga.

However, despite saying that a move could potentially happen in the future, Real Madrid club ambassador Ronaldo says it’s very unlikely to be done in the coming months. Quoted by ESPN, the former Real and Barcelona ace said: “[Neymar] joined PSG recently for a big fee, and I don’t believe PSG need money. So even if Real Madrid make a very big offer, it won’t change their minds.
“At the moment, I think it’s impossible for Neymar to play at Real Madrid. Maybe in a few years. He is still young, but at the moment, impossible. I believe he likes it in Paris, he wanted a change [from Barca] and knew what was going to happen.”
After suffering a broken metatarsal against Marseille in February, Neymar is currently in Brazil recovering from his injury. Goal.com reported yesterday that PSG are “very satisfied” with Neymar’s recovery and he is expected to be fit for Brazil’s World Cup campaign in Russia this summer.
While Brazil fans will be pleased with the latest update supporters of PSG are “fed-up” with the superstar striker. Marca reports that Neymar’s recovery from injury away from France has shown a lack of respect to the club and their fans.
A statement by a PSG fans group said: “The treatment for the injury away from our home is at the limit of decency. It is disrespectful behaviour towards fans and we insist that our players show us the respect we deserve.”
