But entry level models are sparsely equipped and space in the rear seats is quite limited, it also has a very small boot. Motorway driving can be a struggle too as the engine doesnt have the clout to cope with higher speeds. There’s only one engine available – a three cyclinder, 67 bhp 1.0-litre petrol – and Toyota doesn’t sell the Aygo with a diesel engine. But the car is still cheap to run thanks to a low insurance group rating, and an efficient engine, Toyota also offer a five-year/100,000 mile warranty with the Aygo to ensure you don’t fall foul of any major repair bills during the early part of ownership.’’
