A tissue allegedly used by a tearful Lionel Messi during his farewell address to Barcelona earlier this month is being sold at auction for $1m. The Argentinian star was emotional during his press conference where he addressed his departure and paused a few times to wipe away tears with a tissue. A seller has listed the item for $1m at international e-commerce platform Meikeduo.
Cuttlefish ‘have better memories than humans’
Cuttlefish can remember what, where, and when specific things happened right up to their final days of life, according to a new study. “The pedestal upon which humans place themselves in terms of neurological abilities continues to crumble,” said a professor. Although they only live for around two years, the cephalopods make the most of it by having three hearts, eight arms, blue-green blood and regenerating limbs.

Python takes over supermarket spice shelf
A three-metre-long python was spotted by shoppers in Sydney supermarket as it slithered along a shelf in the spice section. Helaina Alati was shopping for her dinner when she turned her head to the right and “just 20cm from my face” saw the diamond python. “It just wanted to say hello,” she told Guardian Australia. A Woolworths spokesperson said the “slippery and rare customer” was safely caught and released into bushland.
