Cat lovers are less likely to go to church, according to a new study. Researchers found that many cat owners see their pets as a “god substitute”. The study of more than 2,000 people in the US found that those who never visited a place of worship own two pets on average, while faithful worshippers have 1.4. “Cats are very godlike,” said professor Samuel Perry, from the University of Oklahoma.
Uri Geller applies for Dominic Cummings job
The celebrity psychic Uri Geller has responded to Dominic Cummings’ job ad that asked for “misfits” and “weirdos”. Applying for the government post, the spoon-bender told the Boris Johnson aide: “In my intelligence work I assisted with Operation Desert Storm, helped to locate secret tunnels in North Korea, and used my skills to erase crucial diplomatic discs on their way to Moscow.”

Woman gives birth to twins in different decades
A woman in Indiana has given birth to twins in two different decades. Dawn Gilliam of Pendleton delivered Joslyn at 11:37 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Little brother Jaxon arrived at 12:07 a.m. in the new year and new decade. Commenting on the quirk, father Jason Tello said: “That was definitely interesting for us for sure. We’re still kind of speechless.”
