Lonely monkey adopts chicken at Israeli zoo

A lonely monkey at an Israeli zoo has reportedly adopted a chicken as an outlet for her maternal instincts. Zookeepers say Niv, an Indonesian black macaque, has had difficulty finding a partner since reaching sexual maturity, and has been caring for the bird for the past few weeks. Macaque's normally kill and eat any stray chickens that enter their enclosure.

Frog found in salad now family pet

A Los Angeles woman who found a live frog in a pre-packaged salad says her family now keeps the animal as a pet. The tiny frog, now called Lucky, was discovered while Becky Garfinkel – a strict vegetarian – was eating her dinner. At first she thought the frog was dead, but her husband was able to revive it after rinsing off the salad dressing.

Woman attacks home following dispute

An Alaskan woman is in custody after going on a vehicular rampage following a dispute with her roommate. Police say Melissa Lena Odomin, 34, drove an ATV into the side of her home, then broke the window of a car and drove that into the home before she was subdued and arrested. Both the ATV and the car were damaged beyond repair.
