Bellerin hits out at ArsenalFanTV
Hector Bellerin has criticised ArsenalFanTV for claiming to support it and then feeding off the club’s failures.
Speaking at the Oxford Union, the Arsenal defender said that people were entitled to their opinions but he wasn’t going to listen to their advice.

Quoted by the Daily Telegraph, the 22-year-old Spanish right-back said: “It’s so wrong for someone who claims to be a fan and their success is fed off a failure. How can that be a fan? It’s just people hustling, trying to make money their way, which everyone is entitled to do. For us players it doesn’t affect us. If they want to have fun with it then have fun. When you grow you realise what is important to you to take [on board].”
Bellerin added: “If a coach comes to me and says you’ve done something bad I’m going to take that advice. If someone from ArsenalFanTV says this guy needs to do this or that I’m not going to listen to him. They’re entitled to their opinion and the way they want to do it. If people find it funny then go watch it.”
Terry wants to return to Chelsea – as a coach
Former Chelsea captain John Terry is keen to return to Stamford Bridge in a coaching capacity, the Daily Mirror has reported. The 37-year-old is out of contract with Aston Villa in July and is eyeing a move back to a club where he spent more than 20 years as a player. The paper says that Terry wants to one day become Chelsea manager. A coaching role will help him achieve his dream.
Liverpool’s goalkeeper conundrum
Sources have told ESPN that Liverpool are “stepping up their pursuit” of Roma goalkeeper Alisson. The Reds have reportedly held talks with the Brazilian’s agent after a number of Europe’s top clubs were linked with the 25-year-old. ESPN says that signing a new goalkeeper is a top priority this summer for Jurgen Klopp, but the Daily Telegraph suggests that the Liverpool boss is “ready to abandon plans” of signing Alisson and could stick with Loris Karius as his number one.
Hart ready to go abroad
Another goalkeeper in the news today is Joe Hart. The Manchester City keeper is on loan at West Ham but has been dropped by the London club. Hart, who had a loan spell in Italy at Torino last season, wants first-team football. The Sun says that the England stopper would be happy to move to Europe again.
Premier League transfer news and gossip
Spurs may consider offers for Toby Alderweireld
Tottenham are confident that Toby Alderweireld will sign a new contract, but the London Evening Standard says that the club “may consider offers” for the defender this summer. ESPN says that his £50,000-a-week contract expires in 2019 but talks have ended in a stalemate. The Belgian is reportedly a target for Real Madrid and Manchester United.
Patrick Kluivert: La Liga may be a better option for Justin
It’s understood that Ajax star Justin Kluivert has held advanced talks with Manchester United, but according to Metro the forward’s father Patrick has advised the 18-year-old to move to Spain’s La Liga. Patrick Kluivert, who played for Barcelona, said: “Justin is doing very well, and must keep going like this. He must keep his feet on the ground. I’ve told him that he is still 18 and should be relaxed and for sure stay another year or more at Ajax. I see my son playing more in the Spanish league than in the Premier League, but it will be his choice.”
Mauro Icardi: Inter Milan to Manchester United
Mauro Icardi’s agent – his wife Wanda – is working with super-agent Mino Raiola to “push through” a transfer to Manchester United. The Inter Milan captain has been a target for Real Madrid, but ESPN, via Corriere dello Sport, claims that the Argentine striker could be on his way to Old Trafford.
Malcolm: Bordeaux to Arsenal/Tottenham
Sky Sports reports that Bordeaux winger Malcolm has confirmed he won’t be allowed to leave the French club at the end of the season. The Brazilian, a target for both Arsenal and Tottenham, told UOL: “Yes, there was a promise that I will be negotiating in June. I will choose the team, and Bordeaux will let me go.”
