Arsenal transfer news: Hirving Lozano, Steven N’Zonzi, Diogo Leite, Ismaila Sarr
Gunners look set to miss out on PSV Eindhoven winger Lozano, one of the World Cup’s most exciting young players

Lozano says no
Arsenal are unlikely to land Mexico star Hirving Lozano, claims talkSPORT. The broadcaster reports that the World Cup sensation will snub interest from the Gunners to stay loyal to PSV Eindhoven this season.
Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked to the 22-year-old since his stellar performances in Russia, but the winger has decided his interests are best served by staying put in Holland.

The Dutch press reports that Barcelona have also been making enquiries about Lozano but they, like Arsenal, will not get their man.
Sevilla stalemate
According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal are “locked in talks” with Sevilla over midfielder Steven N’Zonzi.
It’s no secret that the north London outfit have been chasing the former Blackburn and Stoke star. Last month rumours suggested a deal was close to being agreed with the Gunners ready to meet the £35m release clause in his contract.
But the Mirror – quoting the respected journal France Football – alleges that Arsenal are “attempting to lower the asking price” for N’Zonzi.
Where that leaves the situation is unclear. Arsenal gaffer Unai Emery is known to be a fan of the 29-year-old, who was a regular during Emery’s stint managing Sevilla.
Race for Leite
With just over a fortnight until the summer transfer window closes, the race to prise Diogo Leite from Porto is becoming more intense.
The Daily Express reports that Arsenal and Liverpool, once considered the most likely clubs to land the 19-year-old defender, now face “fresh competition” as Manchester City and German outfit Borussia Monchengladbach also interested.
According to the German magazine Kicker, the teenager has a modest £13.4m release clause in his contract. Monchengladbach believe they can lure Leite from Porto with the promise of regular first-team football.
Sarr man
Described by The Sun as a “World Cup wonderkid,” Senegal sensation Ismaila Sarr is allegedly being chased by a host of Premier League clubs with Arsenal at the front of the queue.
The 20-year-old winger, currently impressing for French outfit Rennes, put in some eye-catching displays for his country in Russia. As a result he’s being pursued by a number of clubs including Juventus and Barcelona.
Arsenal are known to have scouted Sarr for a while but the Sun says that Rennes want “around £50m” for the ex-Metz star and it may come down to which club is willing to meet the asking price.
