Man Utd transfer news: Alexis Sanchez, Frenkie de Jong, Alex Sandro
Could former Arsenal striker Sanchez be on his way out of Old Trafford?
Sanchez’s future is uncertain
Ian Wright BBC has told Radio 5 live that he believes Alexis Sanchez could be on his way out of Old Trafford.
Wright said that the former Arsenal striker looks lost at United and that the club board need to make a bold decision if he doesn’t find his bearings soon, reports BBC Sport. “I’d see how it goes for the rest of the season then look to offload,” said Wright.

Sanchez left the Gunners for the Red Devils in January but has scored just three goals in 23 appearances and is no longer a starter under Jose Mourinho.
“For me, right now, if United had paid money for him they’d be thinking: ‘How are we going to get that back?’” said Wright. “Sanchez will have to take a hit on his weekly wage [if he joins another club]. Nobody will pay a fee for him, because of the way he’s playing.”
Real plan huge bid for De Jong
United and Barcelona have reportedly been “rocked” by the revelation that Real Madrid are ready to fork out £71.5m for Frenkie de Jong.
According to the Daily Express, the Champions League holders are determined to win the race for the Ajax midfielder - and that is likely to result in a bid far beyond the reach of their rivals.
Barcelona are said to have been ready to offer the Dutch outfit £44.1m for the 21-year-old De Jong in the summer, but got nowhere.
United have also been heavily linked to the Netherlands international in recent weeks, with Mourinho rumoured to have sent his scouts to check out the gifted playmaker.
Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf claims that Real are in the driving seat to sign De Jong and they will table a £71.5m bid to get a deal over the line.
Why so much? Because Real see the Dutchman as a viable successor to Luka Modric in the heart of the Bernabeu midfield, the paper claims.
Asked about the alleged interest from United and the two Spanish clubs, De Jong’s agent, Ali Dursun, replied: “I can neither confirm nor deny this.”
Sandro to PSG?
Meanwhile, The Sun says that United also faces “stern competition” from Paris Saint-Germain for the hand of Juventus defender Alex Sandro.
The 27-year-old is one of the most highly regarded left-backs in the world, and French press claim that PSG are on the tail of the Brazilian international.
United were rumoured to have made enquiries about Sandro in the summer, as Jose Mourinho looked to beef up his back four.
Nothing materialised, but it is believed the United gaffer is primed to make another attempt in January.
However, The Sun says that Sandro has a good relationship with PSG’s sporting director, Antero Henrique from their time together at Porto - and that could clinch a deal for the French champions.
