Premier League transfer news: Kylian Mbappe, Paul Pogba, Alisson, David Luiz
Man City boss Pep Guardiola rules out big-money move for Mbappe

Premier League transfer news and rumours
Guardiola rejects Mbappe rumours
Manchester City were linked yesterday with Kylian Mbappe, but boss Pep Guardiola has “emphatically ruled out” a move for the Paris Saint-Germain star, according to reports.
Mbappe scored four goals to help France win the 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia, further increasing his value. Meanwhile, it has been claimed that PSG’s financial fair play situation could see the French champions needing to sell the 19-year-old.

But The Independent says that when asked about City making a £200m move for Mbappe, Guardiola insisted: “That is not going to happen. Sometimes I don’t understand where the news comes from. Manchester City aren’t going to spend the money that Mbappe deserves, or that PSG deserves. PSG are not going to sell this kind of player to any other club in the world in the next years, I guess.”
Paul Pogba: Manchester United to Barcelona
The Sun reports that Paul Pogba has “threatened” to quit Manchester United in January if Jose Mourinho remains as manager. The Frenchman has been linked with Barcelona but according to ESPN, the Spanish club’s board are “divided” on making a move for the midfielder.
Alisson: I cried when I left Roma
Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has revealed that he cried when he left AS Roma, and seriously considered staying at the Italian club. The Brazilian, who signed for Liverpool in a £65m deal this summer, said: “Leaving Rome was difficult. I cried a lot, together with my wife. It’s only right that I’m honest about it. I made a professional decision, a step forward in my career and for Roma, who earned a huge sum. I decided with my head to move to Liverpool, but my heart was full of tears. I spent two special years in Rome.” (ESPN via Gazzetta dello Sport)
