Welbeck set to leave
Aaron Ramsey may not be the only British player being bounced out of Arsenal next year with the Daily Mirror reporting that Danny Welbeck could follow the Welsh midfielder out of the Emirates on a free transfer.
The England striker has not enjoyed the most glorious career as a Gunner since signing from Manchester United four years ago, but he’s hit something of a purple patch this season, netting four times under new head coach Unai Emery.

However, Welbeck is usually used only as a sub and the 27-year-old feels he should be getting more game-time at his age.
Welbeck can talk to foreign clubs from 1 January as he is in the final year of his contract, and there has been talk in the Spanish press that he might try his luck in La Liga.
Ramsey’s exit confirmed
Meanwhile, The Sun reports that Ramsey’s representatives have inadvertently let slip that he will indeed be quitting Arsenal at the end of this season.
Like Welbeck, the Welsh playmaker will be a free agent as of next June and in recent days speculation has been growing that he will move to one of Real Madrid, Liverpool or Juventus.
Those rumours were strengthened in a series of tweets sent by Avid Sports & Entertainment Group, which claimed that its client has “no other option” but to find a new club next summer.
Social media slip
According to the Sun the first tweet read: “Delighted to broker this deal for @aaronramsey #AvidSports”, and a second tweet, sent in response to a reply, stated: “There is nothing we can do Charlie, the club made a decision. Life goes on.”
In a further exchange with the Arsenal fan, the agency tweeted: “You’re right it isn’t always greener and he didn’t want to leave, but now there is no other option.”
That might be a reference to the suggestion that Arsenal tabled a new deal to Ramsey last month but then withdrew it for unspecified reasons.
‘Argentinian Eden Hazard’
The Mirror also reports that Matias Vargas would prefer a move to Arsenal “when the time comes to leave Velez Sarsfield”.
Nicknamed the “Argentinian Eden Hazard”, 21-year-old Vargas scored five goals and got 11 assists last season and his form has attracted interest from a number of clubs including Bayern Munich, Juventus, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.
However, when asked on Argentine TV where he would like to go next, the attacking midfielder simply replied: “The Arsenal.”
