Nasri’s West Ham move ‘hits snag’
Samir Nasri’s move to West Ham United is reportedly in doubt amid fitness concerns and sky-high wage demands.
The 31-year-old Frenchman is returning to football after an 18-month doping ban and is free to train with any club from this month, The Guardian reports. He will be eligible to play from 1 January.

Former Arsenal and Manchester City midfielder Nasri underwent a medical at West Ham yesterday, but the Premier League club is “concerned at how long it will take him to be fit enough to play”, says The Daily Telegraph.
The Daily Mail adds that the move has also stalled because the Hammers have “balked at his £95,000-a-week wage demands”. A six-month deal, with an option for a further year, is reportedly on the table.
Fekir wanted by Sarri
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is believed to have made a personal plea to entice Nabil Fekir to Stamford Bridge. The Lyon star, whose move to Liverpool fell through earlier this year, is in high demand. In a bid to secure his services, Sarri has “made it clear” to the midfielder that “he would play a key role in his squad and outlined his ambitions for the future”, The Sun reports.
Talks ongoing for United duo
Manchester United are in discussions with Spanish duo Juan Mata and Ander Herrera over new contracts. Talks are ongoing with the midfielders, according to Sky Sports sources.
Mourinho keen on Pellegrini
Even if Juan Mata and Ander Herrera sign new deals, Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho still wants to bolster his midfield ranks in the new year. One player on his target list is Roma’s Lorenzo Pellegrini. (Daily Express)
Boateng still a target for Red Devils
German media is claiming that Manchester United are still interested in Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng. The German international was linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer. (Daily Express)
Euro clubs track Arsenal ‘wonderkid’
Arsenal’s teenage midfielder Ben Cottrell is a target for both Borussia Dortmund and Marseille. The 17-year-old, described as a wonderkid, has impressed for Arsenal’s Under-18s side this season. (The Sun)
Newcastle ‘in box seat’ to sign Rondon
Newcastle United are favourites to sign Salomon Rondon on a permanent basis when his loan deal expires at the end of the season. The West Brom striker scored twice for Newcastle in their 2-1 win against Bournemouth on Saturday. The Venezuela international is keen to stay on Tyneside. (Newcastle Chronicle)
‘Liverpool should sign Fulham duo’
Former Liverpool striker John Aldridge believes the Anfield side should try to sign Fulham stars Ryan Sessegnon and Aleksandar Mitrovic. Writing in the Liverpool Echo, Aldridge said: “I’d still like Liverpool to reignite their interest in Ryan Sessegnon. He’s still only 18 but has almost played 100 senior games already. I was also impressed with Aleksandar Mitrovic. He’s the type of player you’d want coming off the bench, he’s big, strong and scores goals. He gives you something that little bit different and I like him as a squad player.”
