Arsenal transfer news: Denis Suarez, Cengiz Under, Reiss Nelson, Nicolas Pepe, Kai Havertz
Barcelona’s Suarez to stay at Camp Nou despite interest from the Gunners
Suarez staying put
Barcelona may be ready to listen to offers for Denis Suarez but he intends to stay at the club for the time being, despite interest from Arsenal, according to reports.
Spanish media had claimed that the 24-year-old midfielder was fed up at Barcelona and was eyeing a move to the Premier League, with Arsenal cited as his top pick.

Suarez knows Gunners boss Unai Emery well from his time at Sevilla, but despite that connection, ESPN is claiming that the Spanish playmaker feels it is “remains intent on staying at the Camp Nou and turning his situation around - at least until the end of the campaign”.
However, if Suarez hasn’t earned more regular game time by summer, he’s expected to hand in a transfer request - and Emery may finally get his man.
Emery after Under
Emery has also ramped up his interest in Roma ace Cengiz Under, and that could spell trouble for the unimpressive Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
The Sun says that Emery will “enquire over the possibility of signing” the 21-year-old Under in January as he looks to strengthen his attacking options in the second half of the season.
The newspaper also claims that young frontman Reiss Nelson will remain on a season-long loan to Hoffenheim - and with Danny Welbeck out injured for several months and Mkhitaryan “flattering to deceive”, Emery will be required to make alternative arrangements.
Pepe also on the radar
Arsenal have sent scouts to run the rule over Under at the Stadio Olimpico, and their reports have been so good that Emery “will contact the Serie A giants over a potential deal”, The Sun says.
As to what Roma will demand in return for the Turkish international, the paper suggests that Arsenal should be able to grease their palm with an offer of around £44.5m.
But The Times predicts that if Arsenal sign anyone in January, it will be Lille winger Nicolas Pepe, with the Gunners reportedly ready to meet his £27m asking price in order to ensure Tottenham don’t sign the Ivory Coast star.
Arsenal have eye on Havertz
According to the Daily Star, Arsenal are tracking up-and-coming German midfielder Kai Havertz, who has been “making waves” in the Bundesliga this season for Bayer Leverkusen.
The 19-year-old made his international debut against Peru in September and German media is claiming that Emery sees him as the next Aaron Ramsey.
With the Welshman set to move on at the end of the season, speculation is growing that Bayer Leverkusen will be receiving an offer from the Gunners either in January or June.
