Man Utd transfer news: Jadon Sancho, Gareth Bale, Ruben Dias, Joao Felix
United and Champions League rivals PSG will battle for Dortmund star Sancho
There’s more at stake between Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain than just a spot in the last eight of the Champions League, with reports that the two powerhouses are set for “a mega-money tug-of-war” over England winger Jadon Sancho.
The Daily Mirror says that United are “ready to stump up the biggest transfer fee ever paid by a Premier League club” for the “boy wonder” - but so are the French champions.
The two clubs - who clash in Paris on Wednesday in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 encounter - have had their hopes raised by reports that Borussia Dortmund are looking to cash in on Sancho.

The Mirror says that the 18-year-old’s value is “now well in excess of £100m”, a sum that both United and PSG are willing to pay, although the latter may be better placed in the event of a bidding war.
PSG are expected to sell Neymar to Real Madrid in the summer for a fee estimated to be in the region of £200m and could use the funds to land Sancho.
Bale to leave the Bernabeu
Talking of Real Madrid, The Sun reports that the Spanish giants “have finally run out of patience with Gareth Bale” and will sell the Welsh star this summer.
It had been hoped he would fill the shoes of Cristiano Ronaldo after the Portugal star joined Juventus last year, but that hasn’t happened and the 29-year-old Bale is now considered surplus to requirements.
Spanish media alleges that Real president Florentino Perez wants Bale out of the Bernabeu as soon as possible, but as the Sun points out, he has three years left on his current deal and is not looking to move.
The Sun adds that “the decision could be taken out of Bale’s hands” if a big money offer from United comes in.
Spurs swap deal?
The Daily Express agrees with the Sun’s assessment, but adds that United may have competition from Tottenham.
Real are said to be eyeing up Christian Eriksen and are “preparing to offer Bale plus around £50m” in the hope that Spurs will give them their Danish dynamo in return.
As for United, the Express says that they are “cooling their interest in Bale”, although they remain potential buyers depending on how events unfold in the next couple of months.
Double swoop
Let’s hope United have plenty of cash in their piggy bank, because Metro claims the Red Devils are also “prepared to splash out £155m” on Benfica duo Ruben Dias and Joao Felix.
It’s not the first time that United have been linked to the two youngsters, but the newspaper takes it one step further by suggesting that United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is determined to land the pair following glowing reports from the club’s scouts.
