That's the topline finding from a report released Wednesday by the Urban Institute.
The study found that in just 12 months, from September 2013 to September of this year, the uninsured rate nationwide fell from 19.9 percent to 15.1 percent. Notably, states that participated in ObamaCare's big Medicaid expansion saw the biggest drop. Those states saw their uninsured rates fall by an average of 36.3 percent, compared to a dip of just 23.9 percent in states that declined to ObamaCare's Medicaid expansion, most of which are controlled by Republican governors or legislatures or both.
