Bernie Sanders has raised $73 million without a finance team

Bernie Sanders' grassroots campaign raised an impressive $73 million in 2015. They did it all not only without a super PAC, but also without a finance team, as The Daily Beast notes.
Instead of full-time finance folks, spokeswoman Symone Sanders said the campaign taps digital and data teams to help bring in cash. The team also outsources online fundraising to Revolution Messaging.
"I've never heard of a presidential campaign, even a minor party presidential campaign, that didn't have a fundraising team," a campaign finance attorney told the Beast. "But, okay, if it's working."
