Heidi Cruz compares her husbands presidential campaign to the fight for abolishing slavery.

While on the phone with Ted Cruz's National Prayer Team on Tuesday, Heidi Cruz likened her husband's presidential campaign to the fight to end slavery. "I don't want you to feel like any of this was in vain," she told supporters, going on to say that "it took 25 years to defeat slavery. That is a lot longer than four years."

While this might be some comfort to the National Prayer Team, it certainly wasn't to many who got wind of her comments:
