Chris Christie calls Ted Cruz's RNC speech 'awful' and 'selfish'

Donald Trump brushed off Ted Cruz's Republican National Convention speech that ended without an endorsement, but Chris Christie wasn't having it.
The New Jersey governor, a former presidential candidate turned Trump supporter, told CNN's Dana Bash he found Cruz's speech "awful. And quite frankly, I think it was something selfish. And he signed a pledge. And it's his job to keep his word." Last year, the Republican candidates agreed to support the eventual nominee, but some, including Ohio Gov. John Kasich, are remaining silent.
When asked for his thoughts on the speech, Trump's running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, ignored the question, saying, "I am just grateful for all the support we are receiving and I am excited about the future." A Cruz source told CNN the Texas senator "expected people to not approve" and was "not surprised at the reaction."
