Bill O'Reilly really wants Donald Trump to stop 'whining' about a rigged election
Fox News host Bill O'Reilly was on Monday's Late Show, and Stephen Colbert asked him to explain, in his Bill O'Reilly way, what the hell is going on in this election. O'Reilly argued that people are angry and polarized, and that Donald Trump was able to win the GOP nomination because voters "hated everybody else and they just didn't know him as a politician." "Don't you think he's whining a little bit about saying that things are rigged?" Colbert asked. "Because I'm sure Jeb Bush is out there saying, 'You're damned right it was rigged, it was rigged in your favor during the primaries.'" O'Reilly said that he doesn't think it helps Trump to say it's rigged, "nobody really cares about the 'rigged' stuff, and he wastes a lot of time doing that."
Colbert pointed out that O'Reilly recently said three media organizations have instructed their employees to destroy Trump, and O'Reilly said he believes that but won't name them because his source wants to remain anonymous. "The interesting thing about Fox News, and of course Chris Wallace will be moderating the debate on Wednesday night, is there's a lot of division about Donald Trump," O'Reilly said. "It's not a Trump network — I mean, we have people who don't like him, people who do like him — and that makes it interesting to watch. It's not like — I'm not going to mention the other cable networks, CNN, MSNBC — who are rooting, actively rooting for Hillary Clinton. See, on Fox, it's all over the place, depending on who you're watching and what hour it's on."
O'Reilly has interviewed Trump and running mate Mike Pence in the past week, and O'Reilly said Pence is doing a "professional" job defending Trump, but the Indiana governor likely "cringes a little when Trump throws the big bombs."

O'Reilly also previewed Wednesday's debate, saying Wallace is "a tough guy" who won't "brook any nonsense." He offered debate advice for Hillary Clinton — "ignore Donald Trump" and tell America she's "not this dragon lady" — and Trump. "If I'm Trump," he said, "stop whining — stop that, all right — and say, 'Look, I've got three things I want to say to you tonight, bang, bang, bang.'" Colbert cut in with Trump's three things: "It's rigged, it's rigged, it's rigged." O'Reilly said, yes, that's whining. Watch him pretend to moderate the debate, and Colbert act out Trump's part, below. Peter Weber
