The United States and Canada reached a deal late Sunday to update the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and keep it a trilateral pact with Mexico, two Canadians with knowledge of the discussions told Reuters.

Representatives from the two countries spent the last two days negotiating, with the Trump administration giving Canada until midnight Sunday to reach a deal or face being excluded from the pact. Reuters reports that the agreements include boosting U.S. access to Canada's dairy market and safeguarding Canada from possible U.S. tariffs on automobiles. The U.S. and Mexico have already reached a bilateral deal.
