Alex Morgan scores 5 goals as U.S. defeats Thailand in World Cup record-breaking fashion

There isn't much to say about the U.S. Women's National Team's first game in the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup — the score speaks for itself.
The U.S. obliterated Thailand, stampeding to a 13-0 victory, which is the largest margin of victory ever in a World Cup, women's or men's. The team's star forward, Alex Morgan, had a decent day at work, chipping in five goals, which has put her in the early lead for the tournament's Golden Boot. For reference, the co-winners of the Golden Boot in the 2015 World Cup, one of whom was Morgan's teammate Carli Lloyd, scored six goals in total over the course of the entire tournament.
Morgan joins soccer legend Michelle Akers as the only two U.S. players to ever score five goals in a Women's World Cup game. While there were too many goals to fit all of them here, take a look at these three stunners from Morgan.
