House Democrats really don't want Mueller mania to die.
Former Special Counsel Robert Mueller will provide congressional testimony this Wednesday about his report on Russian election interference — something Democrats have been fighting for since the report's April release. And while Mueller speaks, the "entire" Democratic caucus will stage an "all-out messaging blitz" to make sure Americans are listening, Democratic leadership aides tell Politico.
Mueller's report arrived without much consequence for President Trump, with Attorney General William Barr declining to press charges despite Mueller outlining several instances where Trump appeared to try obstructing the investigation. Some Democrats have very public issues with this decision, so they've pulled out 11 quotes from Mueller's report that they think proves otherwise, and are planning to push them out in a "social media blitz" called #RetweetTheReport starting Tuesday morning, Politico writes. They've also rounded up a dozen quotes about Russian election interference to share.

While Mueller is actually testifying, Democrats plan to run a so-called "war room" dedicated to clipping bits of his hearing and sending them out, Politico continues. They'll also fire back at Republicans, who will probably stage a messaging campaign of their own. And after all is said and done, Democrats who support impeaching the president say they expect more of their colleagues to fall to their side. If anything, they at least expect renewed interest in their somewhat popular impeachment call that has yet to earn House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's (D-Calif.) support.
