Bernie Sanders repeats in Colorado, projected as primary winner

Colorado switched up its format from a caucus to primary in 2020, but the state's choice for the Democratic presidential nomination remained the same as it was in 2016.
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) has been projected by multiple outlets to win Colorado's Democratic primary Tuesday four years after he defeated Hillary Clinton in the state before ultimately falling short of the nomination. With almost 70 percent of the vote in, he led with 36.3 percent, trailed by billionaire and former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and former Vice President Joe Biden at 24 and 20.3 percent, respectively. It's the first Super Tuesday victory for Sanders besides his home state of Vermont, although the night is young.
Polls had pretty confidently pegged Sanders as the winner, and the fact that there were a lot of early voters in the state likely made it harder for Biden to capitalize on his post-South Carolina surge.
