1. Thomas given all-clear for Tour defence
British cyclist Geraint Thomas will be fit to defend his Tour de France title despite crashing out of the Tour of Switzerland yesterday.
Team Ineos said the Welshman was taken straight to hospital having suffered abrasions on his shoulder and a cut above his right eye.
His involvement in this year’s Tour de France is not likely to be affected by the crash.

The 33-year-old said: “Clearly it’s frustrating and a small setback for my Tour de France preparations, but there’s still plenty of time before we start in Brussels in a few weeks’ time.
“We will recalibrate and I’m sure my coach Tim [Kerrison] will have a plan in place to ensure I’m ready for 6 July.”
Thomas’s crash comes a week after team-mate Chris Froome was badly injured in France.
2. Neville: we want to win every game
England head coach Phil Neville wants to finish top of group D even if it means his side have a tougher fixture in the Fifa Women’s World Cup round of 16. The Lionesses are already through to the knockout stages and should they win or draw against Japan tonight they would then face one of the best third-place finishers next. If Japan beat England they would finish top, and Neville’s team would face the Netherlands or Canada in the last-16. Neville said: “My view is that we want to win seven games in this World Cup - no matter what route we take.”

3. Semenya: I was used by the IAAF
South African athlete Caster Semenya has accused the IAAF of using her as a “human guinea pig”, the BBC reports. The 28-year-old is in a legal dispute with the world governing body over the taking of medication to control her testosterone levels.
4. Lopez named in match-fixing investigation
Andy Murray’s return to tennis has been delayed until tomorrow after rain forced play to be postponed yesterday at Queen’s. Murray will partner Feliciano Lopez in the men’s doubles against Colombian duo Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah. Meanwhile, it has been reported today that Murray’s doubles partner Lopez has been named in a Spanish police investigation into match-fixing.
5. Morgan on fire at Old Trafford
On Monday Eoin Morgan was a doubt for England’s Cricket World Cup clash with Afghanistan, but by Tuesday evening he was a national hero. The England captain scored a sensational 148 off 71 balls to help the host nation romp to a 150-run victory at Old Trafford.
6. Mercedes expect a fight in France
It’s the Formula 1 French Grand Prix this weekend and title leaders Mercedes are expecting a “tough fight” against rivals Ferrari and Red Bull. Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff said: “The circuit features some similarities to Montreal and the long straights will present a challenge for us.”
7. Mourinho wants World Cup challenge
Former Manchester United and Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho would like to manage an international team. Mourinho said: “I want to compete in new competitions. I think about the World Cup and the European Championships. For a long time I have had the desire to try out such an adventure. Right now, I see myself more at a national team than with a new club.”
8. McGregor could make UFC return this year
Conor McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh says the Irish star could make his return to UFC by the end of the year. Kavanagh told ESPN: “I think what has come back around is the love of the sport. He loves doing it, he loves training [and] he loves competing. And legacy, that he’s remembered being one of the best, if not the best ever. So that’s what’s really come back into him since the beginning of the year. That’s what I wanted to see.”
9. Zizou wants Eriksen
Zinedine Zidane wants Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen to join his Real Madrid revolution this summer. Zidane has already signed Eden Hazard from Chelsea and has now set his sights on Eriksen. The Sun reports that the Spanish giants are ready to offer Spurs £45m plus midfielder Dani Ceballos to “get their hands” on the great Dane.

10. £70m for Aubameyang?
It’s claimed that Manchester United are interested in Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. TalkSPORT radio host Andy Goldstein said: “I’ve got someone on the inside, not at United by the way, someone on the inside who every so often would tell me transfer gossip. He has told me that United are interested in Aubameyang. He’s got two years left on his deal, he is 29 years old, he is the finished article.”
