Skoda will introduce a more rapid vRS version of its critically acclaimed Kodiaq SUV but plans for a vRS-badged Superb have been suspended.
"Larger vRS models are certainly on the table", the magazine adds, but the future "isn't looking so sure" for the Superb vRS as tightening CO2 regulations and the rise in fuel prices mean performance models are becoming "harder to justify".

According to Evo, a plug-in hybrid model is "on the way in 2019". This could be a Superb saloon with a "full battery-electric model" expected after that.
The current Kodiaq is a "game-changing" car that lives up to the standards set by the suitably named Superb, says AutoExpress, which is "exceptionally comfortable" and offers "excellent value for money".
There's no word on how much the vRS version of the Kodiaq will cost, but expect to pay a little more than the £30,695 needed for the SUV's range-topping 'Edition' trim.
