Edie Simms made it to the age of 102 without ever sitting in the back of a police car — and she wanted that to change.

On Friday, the St. Louis resident was able to cross "get arrested" off of her bucket list, with the help of local police officers. Instead of being hauled off to jail, Simms made a special delivery — over the past two years, she has handcrafted 400 items, including pot holders and walker bags, for the people at the Five Star Senior Center. Simms had never dropped off her items in person before, and her first time came courtesy of police escorts. "I've dealt with this program for almost 37 years now and the character of some of our seniors is just amazing," Michael Howard, executive director of the center, told ABC News. "Here we have a senior helping other seniors, and it doesn't get any better than that for me."
