An eclectic range of pieces from the worlds of rock 'n' roll, fashion, fast cars and, er, cricket are to be found at UK specialist auction houses during March.
Also on 15 March is Lyon & Turnbull's Contemporary & Post-War Art sale in Edinburgh, which includes an untitled 1992 screen print from notorious Brit artist Damien Hirst (£1,500-2,500) as well as David Bailey's 'Box of Pin-Ups' – a covetable collection of 36 half-tone prints from 1965 (£2,500-3,000).

Fashion prints also appear in Chiswick Auctions' 20th Century and Contemporary Art and Design auction on 7 March, which features a unique collection of 16 images by esteemed fashion photographer Helmut Newton. These rare original prints were produced in limited-edition numbers from a series of transparencies, and feature the likes of British actress Charlotte Rampling (£2,000-2,500), and a photo entitled 'Comme Jackie O' (£1,400-1,800), a provocative image of model Linda Morand posing as Jackie Kennedy for French Vogue.
Music fans, meanwhile, may wish to bid for one of 17 limited-edition artworks by Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood, such as this print entitled 'Voodoo 4' (£600-900), part of a two-day Selected Art and Antiques sale being held at JS Fine Art in Oxfordshire on 24 and 25 March.
Staying with the rock 'n' roll theme, Bath-based Gardiner Houlgate is holding one of its quarterly guitar auctions on 16 March. Of particular interest is a 1958 Fender Precision Bass guitar (£4,000-8,000) that belonged to AC/DC bassist Cliff Williams.
From chords to cricket, and a unique sale of books, drawings, prints and cricketing memorabilia from renowned Test Match commentator Henry Blofeld, taking place at Chiswick Auctions on 1 March. As well as some valuable signed cricketers' almanacs and bats, there are a number of first-editions from celebrated authors such as Ian Fleming, who famously named Bond's arch-villain, Ernst Stavro Blofeld, after his lifelong friend – and Henry's father – Thomas Blofeld. A first-edition copy of 'Thunderball' features Thomas Blofeld's armorial bookplate and has an estimate of £500-800.
Finally, those with designs on being the next Bond may want to check out H&H's upcoming classic car auction, taking place on 29 March at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford. Lots include a 2004 DB7 Zagato from favourite Bond marque Aston Martin (£250,000-280,000) as well as a slightly more affordable 1963 Jaguar E-Type 3.8 Roadster (£75,000-90,000) – both fine examples of British design and engineering.
