Sunfall festival returns to London this August
House, techno and jazz are set to take over the capital's Brockwell Park before the vibe heads inside at night
This summer, South London's Sunfall festival will be back for the second time, bringing its celebration of the underground to Brockwell Park.
The festival, which launched last year to much acclaim, has been certified "the muso's choice" by The Guardian, while music blog Stamp The Wax was "pleasantly surprised" by the inaugural event, given the inevitable teething problems of a new festival.
Sunfall is the creative collaboration between the teams behind the super-cool Croatian festivals Dimensions and Outlook, and London nightspots Phonox, The Nest and XOYO.

Of last year's launch, Clash magazine wrote: "It's clear that all of their know-how and experience came to the fore, successfully forming the festival holy trinity: quality sound, a banging line-up and a top crowd."
But Sunfall's recipe for success is not just a line-up that is honey for every house and techno fans' ears. The festival also addresses the all-too-common problem of licensing laws that force city festivals to end at 10pm and leave festivalgoers stranded in parks and streets.
The solution? Once the party in the field is over, revellers can party to their hearts' content inside London's best venues.
Once the night sets in, Sunfall spills out into ten of the capital's clubs. The only downside is that ticket holders have to decide in advance which after party they want to go to. Given they are spoilt for choice, it isn't obvious which venue to go for.
The line-up is supreme this year and spans jazz, house, hip hop, techno, soul, drum & bass and disco.
Jazz legend Roy Ayers will take to the stage, alongside Chicago house icon Larry Heard, who is playing his first live show in more than 20 years.
Other acts not to miss include The Black Madonna, Floating Points, Theo Parrish, and the ever-reliable Gilles Peterson.
For the after parties, Ben UFO heads up a superb line-up at Corsica Studios, while Larry Heard will take over Electric Brixton.
Gilles Peterson and Romare will be playing at The Jazz Cafe, while Floating Points and Jon Rust are booked in at Mangle E8.
Sunfall takes place in Brockwell Park in Brixton, south London, on 12 August. Tickets available at http://www.sunfall.co.uk/
