The spacious residence is spread over four floors, with a modern open-plan living and dining area and state-of-the-art facilities, including a private cinema, games room and dedicated ski room complete with heated boot warmers. The ARK, Morzine, France
While chalets are often full of rustic charm, if you're after something more contemporary look no further than The ARK. The five-bedroom property impresses with its distinctive industrial design: eye-catching features include a stone staircase with wrought iron balustrades forged by a local blacksmith and a graffiti wall specially commissioned for the space. Continuing the stripped-back aesthetic is a reclaimed oak dining table that provides a centrepiece to the open-plan middle floor, including a bar area furnished with a stylish Le Corbusier chaise longue. For more low-key evenings, there's a second cosy and secluded living space nestled in the rooftop.

Chalet Chouqui, Verbier, Switzerland
Chalet Chouqui comprises two interconnecting properties totalling more than 900sq metres, but despite its capacious interior, the majority of time here is destined to be spent outside. The expansive terrace has space to seat 20 for an al fresco meal, barbecued on the fire pit, while post-dinner guests can relax in the outdoor hot tub while taking in uninterrupted views of the majestic Mont Blanc Massif. Inside is kitted out to an equally high standard, with bedrooms decorated with luxurious herringbone tweeds, custom-made English furniture and cutting-edge John Cullen lighting. It also boasts one of the largest private indoor swimming pools in Verbier, while there's plenty more to keep the family entertained with a dedicated games room and cinema.
