Spurs striker Harry Kane is ruled out of big clash at Man Utd

Manchester United vs. Tottenham Hotspur

Harry Kane has been ruled out of Tottenham’s big match at Manchester United tomorrow because of a hamstring injury.

The in-form striker has a “minor strain to the left hamstring” and Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino confirmed to the media that he cannot risk the striker in the second versus third clash.

Pochettino told Sky Sports: “We cannot take a risk for tomorrow, we’ll see after for Wednesday. But tomorrow, it is impossible.”

Kane also “remains a doubt” for the Champions League encounter against Real Madrid on 1 November, Sky reports.

West Bromwich Albion vs. Manchester City

West Brom manager Tony Pulis has called Premier League leaders Manchester City the “form team in Europe” ahead of tomorrow’s fixture at The Hawthorns.

City travel to West Brom five points ahead of second-place rivals United, who host Spurs in the weekend’s early kick-off.

Pulis, whose side have only won two Premier League matches since April, knows they must improve when they face Pep Guardiola’s in-form City.

“There are areas we have to improve on,” Pulis told the BBC. “Manchester City are the form team in Europe.

“We will approach the game a little bit different than normal but I won’t say how we will do it. They’re a very good team.”

Bournemouth vs. Chelsea

A number of media outlets are reporting this morning that Premier League champions Chelsea are lining up Carlo Ancelloti to replace manager Antonio Conte.

Ancelloti is out of work after being fired by Bayern Munich last month and is reported to be on the verge of returning to Stamford Bridge, after a stint as boss from 2009 to 2011.

The Sun says that Chelsea are already planning for Conte’s exit and first-choice Ancelloti is “standing by for a sensational return”.

Meanwhile, Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth may still be in the relegation zone but they go into their match against the champions in good confidence after wins against Middlesbrough in the league cup and against Stoke in the league.

“I’m really pleased with the last two results,” said Howe. “Stoke was a really big game for us so it’s been very good.

“It’s a long season, we didn’t want to become detached from the teams above us, but it’s also about building confidence.”

Arsenal vs. Swansea City

After a “stormy” AGM yesterday, the Gunners’ focus will be back on the pitch when they host Swansea City at the Emirates.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, whose future has again come into question, confirmed yesterday that the club’s board will review his role next summer. He told the AGM: “I want to see what the board thinks of my performance. After that we decide where we go from there. My desire has always been to respect my contracts, but that is what I meant.”
