Today’s front pages: Doris Day, wealth inequality and Jeremy Kyle

Several of this morning’s front pages pay tribute to screen star Doris Day, who has died at the age of 97.

The Guardian leads on a warning by Nobel prize-winning economist Sir Angus Deaton that the UK’s growing wealth inequality could soon put the country on a similar footing to the US as one of the least equal countries in the world.

Meanwhile, the Financial Times and City AM give their front pages to what the latter calls “Red Mist” - the slide in global stock markets as the tariff feud between China and the US flares anew.
