Today’s front pages: child hunger, torture and tainted blood
A round-up of headlines in UK newspapers on 20 May

A report by a leading human rights group condemning the UK government’s record on child poverty leads this morning’s Guardian. The government is also under pressure on the front page of The Times, whose headline claims an MoD policy allows the UK to “break laws on torture”.
The Daily Mail gives its front page to the continuing inquiry into how thousands of NHS patients received contaminated blood products in the 1970s and 1980s, while The Independent leads with another scandal - the legal system’s widespread failure to bring rapists to justice.
Meanwhile, The Daily Mirror looks further afield - to Qatar, where, the paper claims, migrant workers building facilities for ultra-wealthy Gulf state’s 2020 World Cup are being paid the equivalent of 82p an hour.
