Australian pub bars emu regulars for defecating

An Australian pub has banned two local emus for anti-social acts, including stealing food and defecating on the floor. The owners of the Yaraka Hotel in the outback of Queensland posted a sign at the entrance of the pub stating that the town’s popular local emus, Kevin and Carol, were no longer are allowed inside. “The main reason we’ve banned them is their droppings,” said one of the owners. “They’re enormous, very large and very smelly, and they created great stains.”
Fox named as shoe thief
A fox has been blamed for stealing more than 100 shoes in Berlin. Locals in the southwestern Zehlendorf neighborhood recently noticed the disappearance of footwear left outside their homes. One resident says he caught a fox “red-handed” with a pair of blue flip-flops in its mouth. After taking photos of the animal in the act, he later found its stash of stolen shoes.

Woman, 99, becomes world’s oldest flight instructor
A 99-year-old woman from California broke two world records when she piloted a plane and gave a flight lesson in the air. Robina Asti was named the world’s oldest flight instructor and active pilot after she gave her final flight lesson Sunday at NextGen Flight Academy at Riverside Municipal Airport. “I love getting people to experience what it’s like to lift off this Earth,” she said.
