A Florida couple are facing multiple charges after faking a home break-in and shooting to collect insurance money. Police say Lindsey Pelton, 36, and Doug Teixeira, 35, falsely reported that two men broke into their home and shot Teixeira in the leg and Pelton in the arm before stealing $7,000 from a safe.

Police in Denver, Colorado, say an argument over a game of chess that got out of hand has resulted in a man being shot. The victim was hit once in the head and the abdomen, but managed to flee the scene and report the attack to local police.

Eight-mile chase for runaway train
Officials in India are investigating how an electric train engine was able to travel for eight miles without a driver on Wednesday. Railway workers gave chase to the runaway engine, eventually catching up with it on a motorcycle, before climbing aboard and bringing it to a halt.
