A dead moose in Wyoming has been destroyed using 45 kilograms of explosives, after wildlife officials deemed it to be a hazard to human life. Bridger-Teton National Forest wildlife managers feared the rotting beast may attract bears, wolves and other predators to an area popular with hikers at this time of year.
Hundreds of luxury cars destroyed by fire
Flooding in Italy has led to the destruction of hundreds of new cars at the port of Savona, Liguria. Most of the cars were luxury brand Maseratis destined for the Middle East, according to local media. Floodwater reached the cars’ batteries, sparking a fire which burnt down the terminal where the vehicles were being stored.

Worker infects government network with porn site malware
A security audit of the computer network at the US Geological Survey has revealed that a single employee’s repeated visits to more than 9,000 pornographic webpages has led to a major malware infection at the agency, mostly from Russian-based websites. The employee has since been fired.
