Huddersfield Town’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea last night will see them play Premier League football next season, but it also means that Swansea City are almost certain to be relegated.

With the Swans set for the Championship, news has broken today that manager Carlos Carvalhal will leave the club at the end of the season. WalesOnline reports that Sunday’s clash with Stoke City will be Carvalhal’s last as manager.

But the BBC says that after eight matches without a win his contract will not be renewed.

The Daily Star reports that former Wales boss Chris Coleman is favourite to become the next Swansea manager.

Arsenal: who will replace Arsene Wenger?

It’s already been announced that the Frenchman will end his long stint as Arsenal boss this summer, but who will replace him?

The Daily Telegraph says the Arsenal board have now drawn up a shortlist of a “select group” of candidates who could take over at the Emirates. The shortlist reportedly includes Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri, former Gunners captains Mikel Arteta and Patrick Vieira, Monaco’s Leonardo Jardim and Hoffenheim’s Julian Nagelsmann.

Allegri has said he would like to manage in the Premier League some day, but the Independent reports that he may turn down the Gunners and remain with Juve.

The Daily Star adds that after Juve’s 4-0 Italian Cup final win over AC Milan last night Allegri “dropped a bombshell” on his future. Allegri said: “I don’t feel that I’m close to the end. We still have to win the championship and the next season we will have to fight again.

“I have a contract with Juventus and, as we do every year, we will meet at the end of the season to plan the future. We need a clear understanding of how to improve again. We haven’t reached our maximum because we have lost two Champions League finals [in the last three seasons]. There are so many unpredictable elements in football.”

Chelsea: Conte’s position ‘near untenable’

Antonio Conte’s future as Chelsea boss is very unclear after his side’s 1-1 draw with Huddersfield last night left their Champions League qualification hopes in tatters. With one Premier League game left, fifth-placed Chelsea are two points behind Liverpool. Chelsea travel to Newcastle on Sunday, while Liverpool are at home against Brighton.

TalkSPORT says that the draw with Huddersfield leaves Conte’s position “near untenable”. However the Blues do have an FA Cup final against Manchester United to look forward to and Conte believes the club will do “their best to improve their situation”.

He told Sky Sports: “I don’t have anything to add. It is not my task, there is a club to judge the situation and then take the best decision. Now is not important – we must be focused to finish this season. We have another game and an FA Cup final – then the club will do their best to improve their situation.”

Everton: Silva to replace Allardyce?

Everton manager Sam Allardyce is “set for the axe”, says The Sun. It’s claimed that the Toffees players are “already talking” about Marco Silva becoming the new boss at Goodison Park.

Former Watford manager Silva is “the talk of Everton’s dressing room.” He was the Merseysider’s first choice to replace Ronald Koeman before they appointed Allardyce in November last year.

West Ham: Moyes future in doubt

The Daily Mail and The Sun report that David Moyes could leave West Ham after leading them to Premier League safety.

The former Everton and Manchester United boss has a short-term contract with the Hammers but is looking for a new challenge. He said: “I want to be a manager pushing the top six or eight. You need the tools for that.

“I think I’d be right for quite a lot of clubs. I have to make sure I’ve got what I want to do. For most of my seasons I’ve been competing at the top six, eight. I know what it looks like, I know what you need to get there. I need to see if West Ham are going to get there.”
