Mauro Icardi: Inter Milan to Manchester United

Anthony Martial: Manchester United to Inter Milan
Given the reported interest in Mauro Icardi, could United and Inter do a swap deal for players? According to the latest reports, the Italians are keen to bring in United’s French forward Anthony Martial on loan in January. (The Guardian)
Eric Bailly: Manchester United to Tottenham/Arsenal
After watching Tottenham lose 2-1 to Liverpool at the weekend, Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness believes the north London side need to make some new signings. One player being linked with Spurs today is Manchester United defender Eric Bailly. The 24-year-old is “ready to quit United in January”, the Daily Mirror reports, after a lack of first-team action so far this season. The Mirror says that Arsenal will rival Spurs for the defender’s signature.
Rabiot wanted by four clubs
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot is a target for Manchester City, Tottenham, Juventus and Barcelona. The 23-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and would be available on a free transfer unless he signs a new deal or PSG sell in January. (Daily Express)
Brown nearly joined Newcastle
With 16 domestic trophy wins Scott Brown has become a Celtic legend, but the 33-year-old has revealed that he nearly left the Scottish giants in January 2010. After a falling out with then-Celtic boss Tony Mowbray, Brown was told he was free to leave the club. However, just weeks later the matter was resolved and he was named Celtic captain. He said: “I had an offer from Newcastle. There had also been interest from Harry Redknapp at Spurs.” (Chronicle)
Nicolo Barella: Cagliari to Liverpool/Tottenham
Cagliari midfield ace Nicolo Barella is wanted by Liverpool and Tottenham. The 21-year-old is valued at £35m and Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is “confident” a deal can be done for the Italy Under-21 international. (Daily Express)
