Six Nations: England call up Charlie Ewels to replace injured Courtney Lawes
Eddie Jones’s squad will train against Georgia this week in Oxford

Bath lock Charlie Ewels has been called up by England for their four-day training camp in Oxford this week.
Ewels has been drafted into the set-up following the calf injury to Courtney Lawes, which has ruled him out of the final two Six Nations matches.
The Daily Telegraph reports that Ewels will be given the chance to fight for a place in England’s second row. The 23-year-old has previously won eight caps for England.

In their next Six Nations game England host Italy at Twickenham on Saturday 9 March. Eddie Jones’s side will also play at home in their final match against Scotland on Sunday 17 March.
Georgia test
England will prepare for the final two Six Nations fixtures by training against Georgia this week in Oxford. The two teams will train with each other on Wednesday and Thursday.
“We are going to Oxford and we have got Georgia coming,” said England head coach Jones. “We have had this planned for a while and it will be an opportune time to do some good set-piece work against them.”

Georgia head coach Milton Haig added: “If you can’t play against a tier one team, to train against one is the next best thing.
“This is a massive for us to train against one of the best teams in the world. And it is giving our players an opportunity, from youngsters-to-seniors, another chance to benchmark themselves against tier one players.”
